Woman With Plants conservation aids Cedar Rapids art growth
The painting Woman With Plants, created in 1929 and once traveling to Chicago for expert treatment, was conserved by Alfred Jakstas after blind cleavage was repaired and the frame sealed. It now graces Cedar Rapids Art Center with climate control, amid a $5,000 annual budget for preservation, as gifts and attendance are anticipated to rise.
