How to Claim Bargaining Rights in Labor Unions

The CIO faces decertification steps when a certified union has a current agreement about to expire. A petition by employees or their designee starts decertification. 30 percent must sign. If decertification wins, the old union loses agency and a new bargaining approach follows via card checks or an independent election. If the company resists, the CIO may use economic pressure and strike as the remedy.
