Labor Day observances at Latonia Christian Church and Union Baptist Church featured leaders from CIO affiliated unions. Al Jordan substituted for Al Whitehouse at Latonia, focusing on economic and spiritual goals, while Rev Wilber A Page of Union Baptist encouraged social centers and equal rights for Negro workers. The service included three choirs and a dedication by Cathedral Singers to servicemen.
