Union headquarters on Wine Street hosts multiple group meetings this March with times ranging from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Local 674 and CIO Council set events at 8 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively. venues include Oddfellows Hall, 5129 Montgomery road, and 103 West Central Pkwy.
Amalgamated Clothing Workers will honor new and retiring officers at an installation party after the meeting Friday April 2. Frank Rosenblum is slated as installing officer. Elections for two year terms of all paid officers Joint Board delegates local union officers and Board members occur Tuesday March 16 in shops and ACW office.
Local 112 United Paperworkers union reached a seven cent general wage increase with Sorg Paper Co of Middletown under the seoper clause. The new rate takes effect March 1 and runs until industry pattern is set, Logan Goff said.
The Si Citic Committee of Norwood will meet at 8 p.m. on Thursday March 18 at the Jr. Order Hall foyer avenue to discuss candidates in the coming primary elections. Several new members recently joined and are encouraged to attend to learn about the committee’s activities.
