Vacation Pay At Norwood Plant Boosts Members Finances
Norwood General Motors paid the 1948 vacation allowance to all employees with one year or more seniority after a contract misinterpretation nearly denied the benefit. Eligibility could be met by 75 percent of pay periods or by working the week of June 28, and late checks followed union correction. The Local 508 union also reports a drive for 100 percent membership, upcoming picnics, and plans for a Women’s Auxiliary as officers push solidarity and political action.
