Strikers Seek Food and Funds to Endure Nine Week Walkout

Murray and Hillman urge all out support for Truman

CIO president Philip Murray and PAC chairman Sidney Hillman urged full backing for President Truman in his push for higher wages and lower prices. They pressed Jack Kroll after a phone talk, warning against industry forces that could derail reform and the need for broad public support to back Congress on the welfare program.
