UAW Convention Re-Elects Reuther President
President Walter P. Reuther was re elected as head of the United Automobile Workers after a failed bid by dissidents to choose leaders by referendum. Reuther opposed budget cuts and urged an economic bill of rights. He also warned of possible withdrawal from AFL CIO if no unity is found.
