Red Cross Offers Free First Aid Course in Cincinnati
Area residents may register for a free six week Red Cross first aid course at the Red Cross Memorial Building 720 Sycamore St Cincinnati. Classes meet Wednesdays 730 to 930 p m starting January 10. Participants will gain wound care bleeding control artificial respiration and other emergency skills. Register by calling 721 2665. Money Paid Back For Tax Errors In Cincinnati Area
About 1.4 million taxpayers nationwide received refunds without filing claims, totaling nearly 82 million dollars. Paul A. Schuster, director of the Southern Ohio IRS district, says this proves the fairness and impartiality of federal tax administration and that voluntary compliance drives most payments. He notes roughly 97 percent of federal taxes are paid voluntarily, with enforcement small by comparison.
