Evansville Imp September 27 reports a grand demonstration in honor of General Tom Browne. He drew an immense audience and spoke passionately. Orth delivered two remarks and Col. M. A. Bryson of St Te aarushi spoke eloquently and to good effect.
A Times and Chronicle dispatch from BaxsRevue O September 27 notes the Barnesville Fair’s great success with over fifteen thousand attendees on the grounds yesterday and another strong crowd expected today. Al Burnett drew the largest crowd ever at Hunt's Hall, with demand exceeding capacity as many could not gain admission.
Sept 27 report notes Hendricks gathering at Bedford fell short of Morton trains on the Chicago route which carried guarantees but did not produce enough receipts to cover costs.
