In Worcester Massachusetts on September 25 Charles T James, who murdered Joseph and Clark, was executed at a little before 11 AM in the jail chapel. The scaffold was the same as used for Webster and Green. James spoke briefly, confessed his guilt, and died beside his fellow condemned. The bodies were turned over to relatives.
