In Washington May 26 a Chicago delegation’s chairman, appointed to present resolutions, has received a letter from General Grant fixing noon for the formal presentation. A committee will meet at eleven to proceed to the General’s headquarters for the ceremony.
Michael Ba was convicted for causing the Cle xplesten and was executed at Newgate on May 1.
