Versailles March 2 The National Assembly ratified the peace treaty and notified Bismarck, who replied he was ready to exchange ratifications as the Emperor had signed. French indemnity to be paid in three instalments totaling two milliards in 1872 and two milliards in 1873, interest on the first instalment only. Alsace Lorraine share approx half a milliard thalers and railway costs in Eastern France to be deducted. Telegraph from Paris reports Germans occupying their quarters with tranquil order.
