Special Dispatch to the Cincinnati Times reports a Memphis citizen William H ay a well known local figure died this morning after falling while operating a temporary bridge car near Hollri ngengi. An engine and tender derailed on a trestle as a US passenger train plunged into a gully. The fireman was severely wounded and another passenger fell into the gully though four coaches stayed on the track. Passengers, many Memphians returning from New Orleans Mardi Gras, suffered only minor scratches.
