Dr George Woods Die in Indiana From Mistaken Drug Dosage
Dr George Woods of Sherman City Kansas died at a relative’s home in Knightstown Indiana from a self-administered overdose of hydrate of chloral taken by mistake. The death occurred at twelve o’clock last night. Mrs John Nelson, a veteran journalist at Cincinnati Gains Jackson Ohio, reported on May 27 that Mrs John Nelson, one of Jackson’s oldest citizens, died after a prolonged illness. Her husband Landlord Nelson, once a dry goods merchant in Jackson, has not engaged in business for years. Also noted, two Mexican War veterans Gen N B Burrow Crawford and Major D M West Pope, along with Rev Thomas Cochran of Burton, died in Arkansas during the last week.
