Columbus June 17 John OConnor ex legislator, arrested by U S Marshal Spencer for forging pension papers. Charge dates to 1875 involving Dr Leavitt and a United States gunboat. OConnor examined by Commissioner Wilcox, bound over to Cincinnati court in 500 dollars bail and released.
Late Saturday night three masked men forced entry at the house of Philip Roads two miles east of New Petersburg. They demanded admittance and smashed a window when refused. They ransacked the home taking money and valuables, including twenty dollars. No arrests reported.
