A man named W S Clark posing as a Arthur disaster victim deceived merchants and citizens and faced charges of obtaining goods and money under false pretenses.
New Brunswick Fredericton February 22 The new government is formed with L Hathaway Provincial Secretary Hon Mr King Attorney General Hon Mr Kelly Chief Commissioner of the Board of Works Stevenson Surveyor General Care Couert and Jones as members but presently without offices Today the House was prorogued by the Lieutenant-Governor to meet again on April 5 Considerable excitement in political circles and mutual recriminations among House members.

The Northern Central night express between Baltimore and Elmira struck a broken rail near Williamsport at seven o clock morning and toppled down a forty foot embankment. One man, Adam Trumeyer of Milton, was killed. Edward M Lemon of Warsaw and Benj Weeks of Havana were injured. 17 people total were hurt.
