Washington February 21 The Electoral Commission hears Oregon objections amid partisan clash. Democrats argue Watts vacancy and Cronin votes. Republicans counter that Oregon Certificate final and Cronin rightful. The panel adjourns to resume at 10 PM with both sides extending for further proof and legal argument.
In Washington on Feb 21 the Senate and House met in a joint convention to read resolutions for counting New York New Hampshire and Oregon votes. Testimony and certificates from three rival Oregon electors were examined amid objections by Senators Mitchell and Sargent and Representatives Lawrence McCrary Hale Banks regarding proper appointment and lawful votes.
