A sleigh driven by Mr. and Mrs. Traber was struck by a frenzied horse near Gravel Pit on the Dayton & Western road as a train passed. Both were thrown from the sleigh, bruised badly. Mrs. Traber suffered a broken something and was taken to nearby shelter for aid. Mr. Traber is bruised but mobile. The couple reside near Fort Black and were visiting relatives in the area.
Boston reports Robema Griese a 16 year old, charged in a case about forged funds and theft. Authorities say about $2,000 was obtained in the incident involving staged items and a deceitful scheme.
