Davenport Iowa December 30 Judge Dillon of the United States Circuit Court has appointed Wm Bond of New York provisional and temporary receiver of the Missouri Kansas and Texas Railroad to stand confirmed if no objection within twenty days The Union Trust Company of New York trustee for bondholders may move to become substituted as complainants and may vacate the order with ten days notice The appointment was agreed by the railroad's attorneys and shows that a receiver was immediately needed to protect the mortgaged property.
In Fort Wayne a Circuit Court judge rules against a county officer’s bid to bar sales of lands taxed at half payment, citing the March 8 act.
