Three Murders in Tennessee Reported at Union City

Mexpuis Dec 19 General Superintendent O'Brien says a man lurked near a Union City express building and started to run when confronted by police. He was shot and killed an officer, depot watchman Moran was shot in the shoulder, and the murderer was captured and jailed. Before dawn thirty disguised men overpowered guards, killed robber Levi Farrington, and abducted the murderer Toler from Reelfoot Lake Kentucky. The body later hung from a tree nearby.
