In Georgetown Kentucky James Smith grocery was burglarized for about 165 dollars. George W Johnson, a Black man with prior suspicions for other robberies, tried to flee on the morning freight to Cincinnati but was halted at Sadieville. After an examining trial Judge Payne ordered him held in default of 7 bail to await the September Circuit Court. most of the stolen money was recovered on Johnson.
