Port Washington New York September 28 Daniel Guggenheim capitalist donor of the 2 500 000 Daniel Guggenheim fund for the promotion of aeronautics died of heart disease at his home aged 74. He had been in poor health a short time after returning from Europe. His wife Mrs. Guggenheim and two children Harry F Guggenheim ambassador to Cuba and Mrs. Robert W Straus were at his bedside. Another son Lieut Crl M Robert Guggenheim was notified in Washington and started East. Funeral arrangements were incomplete. He led major enterprises including American Smelting and Refining Company and his holdings stretched worldwide.
