Donna Wilson widow of Lt William J Wilson, once stationed at Fort Sheridan, shot herself in the brain at home after years of grief and estrangement following her daughter's marriage to the cadet John Wilson. Physicians say she cannot live. Her son witnessed the act.
Beverly Massachusetts September 26 Chairman Hilles of the Republican national committee after meetings with President Taft and New England leaders issued a statement opposing Wilsons tariff views. He argued Democrats offer vague tariff reform while Republicans must define a revenue neutral plan without harming American industry and labor.
