A chartered airplane carrying Dempsey Tunney fight pictures crashed at Grantwood Golf Club near Geauga Lake in Cleveland. Pilot Caperton suffered a head wound and a broken nose after attempting a forced landing during a gas shortage in a storm. The fighter films were delivered to the company office by automobile and several were damaged.
Cleveland Secretary of the Automobile Club Freq H. Caley released a report from club counsel showing that charges against automobile thieves are frequently reduced during prosecution.
