In Buffalo on September 15 Senator Hanna moved to the casket after the funeral service for his deceased friend. President Roosevelt in Buffalo keeps Cortelyou as secretary for the present citing his knowledge of affairs. He met a quiet day with dinner guests and cabinet talks avoiding political discussion while preparing to proceed to Washington tomorrow.
