Anti Bulgarian and Greek forces trade brutal actions as letters from Greek soldiers captured near Razlog reveal scorched villages bayonets and gouged eyes. Letters describe mass killings and cruel acts amid July offensives between Greece and Bulgaria and its allies.
Special Dispatch reports John Kilbride 38, serving a sentence from twenty years to life for second degree murder, vanished during a convict count at Sing Sing. Seen by a keeper shortly before disappearance, guards and keepers searched shops and rooms as the warden and chief keeper ordered the investigation. Kilbride was sentenced in Kings County in July 1906.

New York reports Miss May Harrington of Cleveland suing Edmund K. Stallo for 7000 on a promissory note dated 1908. Stallo contends he paid out far more than the note’s face value to aid his former wife, who had retained railway bonds in exchange for the note. The court ordered itemized proof of payments and recipients.
A newborn baby wrapped in mail was delivered to Schuyler & Son undertakers by parcel post. A note from a distressed mother offered a dollar for burial services. The coroner's office took custody and will handle burial. sender identity remains unknown.
Mrs Minnie Richardson filed a 100000 lawsuit in the Circuit Court against Emma Stadfield Levina Raymond Alma Walton Mary Sabel Kate Wagner and Mrs John Stadfield arising from the Yalo rail ride incident. The suit marks her first official utterance after the village prank and mud puddle dumping.
Milledgeville Ga Sept 3 Death has freed Bill Miner famed robber and jailbreaker after a long career that spanned more than twenty states and Canadian provinces. Miner died at the Georgia State Prison Farm last night ending a career marked by stage coach and train hold ups and multiple imprisonments dating back nearly sixty years. He began life in Jackson County Kentucky before age 15 and later admitted numerous bank robberies and train robberies including a in Lula Georgia case.
In Ottumwa Iowa two men are dead after a car race crash near the city. Harry Bottorff of Farson Iowa was killed instantly when his car flipped twice. William Cheek Bottorffs brother in law died within two hours. Mrs Bottorffs sister is expected to die. The other two passengers Mrs Harry Bottorff and her young son Lewis are seriously injured.
New Haven Conn Sept 3 The Interstate Commerce Commission begins a public inquiry into the Bar Harbor express wreck near New Haven that left twenty one dead and five dying It will be the most searching railroad catastrophe inquiry yet conducted Commissioner McChord will preside and H W Belnap chief inspector will conduct witness examinations aiming to uncover fundamental causes of the disaster
