Victory emblem opens Ohio Republican parade in Delaware

From Delaware on October 19 thousands of Republicans gathered on Sandusky street for a State and national campaign opening. Senator Foraker and Governor Nash spoke as Mark Hanna rallied the crowd. The procession featured 25 000 marchers, Republican clubs, and a parade of color led by the Blaine and Rail Splitters groups.

Santos-Dumont's airship contest ends with 40 second deficit

Oct 19 Paris. Santos-Dumont's airship ascended from St Cloud and circled the Eiffel Tower in a bid for a prize. Time exceedance by 40 seconds sparked dispute as Deutsch supported the win while the committee upheld the rule change requiring touch down. Crowd dinged with cheers and flowers as debates raged.

Local Blaine Club Makes a Fiery Delaware Campaign Start

Thousands greet the Blaine Club from Cincinnati as it leads a marching parade through Delaware Ohio to kick off a Republican campaign. The twelve car special train served meals en route and the First Regiment Band played. The return trip included stops at Springfield Dayton Miamisburg Franklin and Middletown with cheers along the route.

Senator Foraker serenaded by Columbus groups

Senator Foraker arrived from Delaware and stayed in Columbus until tomorrow noon. The Buckeye Club, Glee Club and other organizations serenaded him at the Chittenden Hotel forcing him to leave his dinner unfinished. He urged locals to work for the cause.
