Injunction Prevents Pennsylvania Railroad From Removing Front Street Switches
A U S court granted a temporary injunction stopping the Pennsylvania Railroad from tearing up sidetracks and switches into the M. H. Alexander Co. premises. Alexander Co. argues the lines have served its molasses and syrups business since 1900 and its operation would suffer damages of at least 50 000 if disrupted. The company also filed with the Interstate Commerce Commission and the injunction remains in effect until the commission rules.
