New Waterworks Pumps Ten Hills Progress in City
Water from the California Pumping Station was sent to hilltops for the first time, 4 30 pm yesterday. The three quarter hour test moved water from the river to the California station then to the Western Pumping Station and distributed. Officials report the system is practically established and extra pumps are being added. Completion of the clear water basin will allow a regular flow and prevent shortages or overflows. Reserve water will be used if Western Station runs dry and excess will be sent to the basin to maintain even distribution.
