In Portsmouth Ohio in Common Pleas Court Mrs Rebecca Vitito who pleaded guilty to bigamy and had been sentenced to two years was found not guilty just as prison was about to start. Her husband who faced perjury charges was tried and revealed her first marriage occurred at fourteen without parental consent. the marriage was not lawful and the couple were discharged.
Miss Nellie G Robinson of Cincinnati who has practiced in Ohio for three years presented her Ohio certificate and sought permission to practice in New York. The Appellate Division sat yesterday for the first time since vacation and granted her certificate to practice.
In Fa rmont Minnesota on October 17 two masked bandits rode bicycles into the Sherburne Bank, killed cashier Thorburn and a bystander, and escaped with about $1000. Traveling agent J. A. E G Cye Byron Dumas, a fencing instructor, was arrested in Boston on a charge of obtaining money by worthless checks. The warrant cites a $25 false pretense from Geovanius Baudera. In Guterie Oklahoma seven miles south of Seward a mob formed after a traveling preacher denounced dancing as immoral. On Monday night two men assaulted the preacher at the depot leaving him with black eyes and a bleeding nose while women in the crowd applauded the attack.
New York dispatches say Alexander Salvini died days ago at his father's Montecatini home after a fatal stomach ailment. Friends note no authentic confirmation yet. salivary illness and deterioration are cited as fatal. M. L. Wilkinson, Salvini’s New York representative, had received a hopeful letter from his wife weeks earlier.
Matthew Rainey was found guilty of murdering Aaron Adams in Clark County and given a life term. Rainey and his son Dillard had earlier quarreled with a neighbor who was shot and wounded.
