Prominent physicians tour Chicago by Mitchell runabout
A party of doctors led by Dr. C. M. Paul traveled from Cincinnati to Chicago in a Mitchell 1000 runabout owned by Dr. Arnold Webb. The 348 Mile endurance run covered 17 hours 15 minutes outbound with 14.5 hours actual driving, averaging about 28.5 mph. Return leg took 17 hours with 229 miles in 8 hours 10 minutes, despite a tire puncture and a single rough road section.
