Paris officials admit no progress in solving the death of Mrs Ellen Gore amid conflicting theories of accident vs murder. Russian singer De Rydzewski is at center of inquiry as letters and a possible $60 check emerge to shed light on motive and visit, with Consul Gowdy seeking a respectful burial.
President Roosevelt spoke at Central High School dedication in Philadelphia and later at the Union League Founders Day banquet. After months of negotiation Austrian and Hungarian iron and steel interests unite in a cartel of twenty three establishments with a combined capital of 70 million dollars. Each works separately under a central board that governs output and prices. The agreement runs ten years to June 13 1912.
A large brawl erupted during a State University freshmen dance at the Imperial Hotel dining room in Iowa City. A sophomore threw a skunk through a window, eggs and glass were smashed, and police were beaten. Medical students J. H. King and W. M. Construction along the Ft Wayne line is halted to free engines and cars for the operation.

Additional arrests expected and a meeting of victims and supporters discussed prosecution funding.
The Independent Tobacco Salesmen's Union of the United States held a Chicago meeting with forty factory representatives. A charter came from the American Federation of Labor. The group aims to create mutual concerted action by salesmen of independent factories against trusts.
