Cincinnati Mem Day Parade Honors War Veterans
Ten thousand Cincinnatians joined a Memorial Day parade to honor veterans across Civil War and World War II. The procession started at Eighth and Race led by police, then Civil War veterans, with guards of honor and evergreen wreaths at Garfield statue. Major Morton L. Hawkins served as grand marshal as veterans from all conflicts walked or rode past cheering crowds along Race and Sixth streets.

Three drownings occurred yesterday in Ohio. A 15 year old boy from Chester Park was found in the lake after lifeguards searched for him. In the Ohio River and the Big Miami River other youths disappeared with divers and rescue attempts unsuccessful. Restoring effort continued as families identified bodies and authorities investigated.

Four Injured In Dixie Highway Head-On Crash
A head-on collision on Dixie Highway near the Lookout House at 9 p.m. injured four people. Alfred L. Tanner, 37, of Cincinnati, is in St. Elizabeth's Hospital with a broken right shoulder and internal injuries, while Chester L. Northcutt, 35, suffered minor injuries.
