At the Indianapolis oval the 500 mile race saw four French cars win first to fourth place. Rene Thomas won $25,000 in Delage setting a 6 08:45 time and 92.81 mph. Duray placed second in a Peugeot with 6 10:26. Guyot third in a Delage and Goux fourth in a Peugeot. The crowd neared 100000 as Joe Dawson lay critically injured and others were hurt.

An accord with Paint Creek operators retained the 1913 contract including checkoffs, while two items were submitted to arbitration for a quick decision.
