Judge Receives Three-Year Term For Fatal Stabbing
John W. Brady former Texas Civil Court of Appeals judge was sentenced to three years in the penitentiary for the murder of Miss Lehlia Highsmith a 28 year old stenographer in Austin last November 9. The jury convicted Brady and a new trial would be sought with possible bond pending appeal. Brady proclaimed innocence as the verdict was read.
