Iron Workers Beaten Near Bridge Ignites Local Labor Dispute
Two iron workers Bernard Voelker and Frank Langhite were attacked near the C and O Bridge amid a strike, one hit with a two foot iron pipe injuring Voelker, Langhite beaten while fleeing. Amoy China May 17 It is believed part of the Japanese fleet is taking a position below Formosa and that Admiral Togo plans to fight the Russians south of Formosa.
