Eddy Brink a fourteen year old boy was shot and killed on Muddy Creek west of Sedalia Missouri. His father W N Brink a Seventh Day Adventist from Kansas has been arrested charged with murder after two farmers saw a man they believe to be the boy's father in a struggle with the boy before the shooting. The Brink family were traveling by wagon from Wamego Kansas to St Louis with a Negro woman named Young accompanying them.
Tate Township Trustees were arrested for violating a state law that prioritizes ex soldiers on public works. John H Glasgow, an ex soldier, sought the Bethel cemetery sexton post but was passed over, Nick Murray was appointed, triggering the arrests.
May 15 at Randolph Kentucky a boiler in J D Ward's sawmill exploded. Inside were J D Ward and his two sons Will and John Ward, G Brown, and Robert Beckham all killed. Injured include Charles Ward with facial burns Jim Ward with a broken arm Sam Pudor with a broken leg and Will James with a scalp wound.

A dynamite bomb was hurled into a three story brick block in Huntington West Virginia near midnight. No injuries were reported though the blast shattered windows and caused considerable damage. Police investigate the projectile targeted the block owned by Colonel D. E. Abbott housing various offices.
Berlin May 15 Miss Edith Danquart an American governess killed herself at Wiesbaden by shooting through the heart. The motive remains unclear though suspicion centers on bank issues and possible financial troubles for the woman previously employed there.
In Frankfort on May 15 the fusion bill stalled as Senator Martin's absence halted passage. Republicans and gold Democrats support the measure, while silver factions threaten a fight over Goebel’s chair. Lieutenant Governor Worthington asserted control, occupying the chair from 9:30 a.m. until adjournment.
In Findlay Ohio on May 15 the case pit witnesses against attorneys as Will David and David Guncheon struck opposing counsel. Zugschwert and Betts were disfigured in the altercation after David confronted Zugschwert over remarks to the jury. Guncheon was arrested.
Reports from Tipton County indicate a fierce hailstorm this evening that ruined growing crops and piled six inches of hail on the ground in minutes. The storm damaged lights in many homes as it swept over the Elwood area near May 15.
Charles Shillig as a Harrison County patient at the State Insane Asylum attempted to escape by crawling through a sewer. He broke from a guard, entered a manhole, but the sewer was blocked by fallen tile about 300 feet away. He was rescued with difficulty.
