Explosion wrecks Dallas building killing fire captain
A gas blast in Southeast Dallas leveled a two story brick building housing a meeting of the Metropolis Lodge S O O F. Fire Captain W Henry Lee was killed and around eight people died with about thirty injured as a rescue team battled the flames and aftershocks. A nearby drug store was crowded and many more were hurt in the blast and collapse.

Murder verdict in New Jersey love-slave slaying
