In Oneonta Alabama a federal prohibition agent R R Buckner lay near death after a gun battle with moonshiners at a St Clair County still. The raid drew ten agents to reinforce, with one moonshiner captured and jailed. Government forces pressed a woods search for remaining moonshiners as gunfire continued.
