Frank Millen 38 driven by ill health and war worries shot and killed his father 70 his wife 30 a brother and Mrs Elmo Millen 30 then telephoned officials to say he would kill himself. He was found dead hanging on a rear porch with the others nearby. Continued illness said to have unbalanced him. The Millen family was well known locally.

No Chance Now to Be an Officer At Ft Benjam in
Examinations for admittance to the officers training camp at Ft Benjanin Harrison were closed Thursday night at 10 oclock by order of the central department. A total of 571 men were accepted for service at the local recruiting office. Efforts to reach applicants who had not taken their physical examinations failed. only those already examined and passed will be ordered to report to Indianapolis. Of the 571 accepted at Cincinnati office 515 are from Ohio, 420 from Cincinnati. Examinations in Kentucky West Virginia Michigan and Wisconsin will not close until 10 p.m. May 12.
