Two Killed In Dayton Yards After Train Collision
In Dayton Ohio two men Michael Crumley switchman and Albert Hicks yard clerk both of Dayton were instantly killed when a Pennsylvania passenger train bound from St Louis to New York struck a yard engine on the main track in the Dayton yards. Charles Grandin of Xenia was fatally or seriously injured. Several others were reported injured but denied by railroad officials. The yard engine had been moved in front of the passenger train as the crew assisted it over a hill. Hicks rode on the yard engine and was killed when the engine was struck.
