Emil Beier tells police his wife took $510 from Mad River Bank and disappeared with eight children left behind. Police have found no trace of her as of the afternoon report in Springfield, Colorado, on March 29.

Pittsburg March 29 steamers Keystone State from Cincinnati and Kanawha from Charleston raced up the river in a ten mile duel. Keystone overtook Kanawha after nightfall and, with a final burst of speed, landed just ahead. Passengers on both boats placed pools on the outcome and money changed hands.
New York report states Mgr Merry Del Val the Papal Ablegate to Canada celebrated mass at Arch bishop Corrigan's residence chapel. He says he will likely stay in Canada until next June and aims for peace though methods are uncertain, noting Manitoba Legislature action he regrets.
