Bidders may be many as plans to turn the site into a park were considered with support from Governor Mount and Congress. The Lincoln burial lot on the property is maintained by county officials.

They cordially greeted then discussed direct election of Senators by popular vote agreeing for the first time in their careers. Bryan noted Burrows supported the idea and Burrows replied with seriousness that it might make him rethink.
March 14 Berlin officials deny any recall or furlough of Dr. Von Holleben the German Ambassador to the United States. A New York paper had claimed he participated in the last presidential campaign, but an investigation found no supporting evidence.
