Monrovia defeated Morrow 76 to 7 to set a tournament scoring record and edge toward a second straight Tri-State title. Logansport looms in a 12:40 semifinal clash as Norwood and Woodward also vie for remaining spots amid Class A and B play.
National champion William Tilden barely beat W J Gallon 6-2 8-6 6-1 at Heights Casino opening round before advancing to the semi finals, while Vincent Richards and Frantisek Hunter also progressed. Erik Worms upset Richards briefly as Maurice Ferrier defeated Anderson to reach a semifinal against Alonzo with Tilden set to meet Hunter.
Frank Hank Albers, star third baseman for the Chicago Mill and Lumber Company and Christ Church football player, may sit out the next season after a badly battered left knee. He signed with Ludlow Central League club but will not risk permanent injury unless Dr. J C Staats clears him before summer.

The twelfth annual reunion of the L. B. Harrison organization will be held Monday evening at the Harrison Hotel Club on West Seventh Street. W. O. Rakestraw, superintendent, has arranged a strong program with speeches by Mayor Seasongood Judge William H. Lueders Russell Wilson and Mr. Rakestraw. Dinner at 6 30 p m and program to follow with music and features. Attendance expected to exceed 600. Co L Harrison will be toastmaster.
