New York March 12 Indications tonight were that the strike of nearly 15 000 workers in the misses and children's dress trade begun last Monday would be settled tomorrow and the employees return to work by the latter part of this week. At meetings this afternoon various groups of workers voted on a settlement offer by the manufacturers and the majority favored acceptance.

Section men hurt in Roebling strike riot
Roebling New Jersey March 12 Several striking section men were wounded after sixty strikers attacked a work train. They drove off thirty strike breakers and guards and held a position until railroad deputies repelled them in a pitched battle with around 200 shots exchanged. As the mob retreated along the river road some men were seen jumping and aided by others.
