Armored payroll bandits blow up two cars and seize $102000
Pittsburgh dispatch reports nine bandits planting dynamite on a highway wrecked two armored payroll trucks carrying $102,000 for the Pittsburgh Terminal Coal Company. Five drivers and guards were knocked unconscious. one guard later revived to see a pistol at his head. Police pursued the robbers as telephone lines were cut and two escape cars fled with the money.
