News reports confirm five tornadoes struck Cincinnati and surrounding cities causing deaths and injuries. British forces seize Bagdad and Near East holdouts, while a climactic campaign is launched by Townshend.
British officials announce Bagdad, longtime Persian Gulf city and former caliphate capital, has fallen to British troops. Maude reports occupation of the city on Sunday after a night march across the Diala and Tigris lines, advancing despite dust storms and gales.
A trio of people are killed in the East End while an Indiana town reports twenty one deaths. Severe weather leaves New Castle with two hundred homes destroyed as floodwaters rage.
A violent tornado struck New Castle shortly after 3 pm causing at least twenty one deaths and over a hundred injuries. The storm damaged homes, a drug store, and a factory district, with fires ignited and hundreds left homeless. Authorities deployed 200 special officers to police the devastated area.
A devastating cyclone struck fashionable Hyde Park and Linwood in Cincinnati causing at least three deaths and widespread destruction. Homes along Madison road, Erie avenue, Observatory road, Grace avenue, and Linwood avenue were crushed or obliterated, with trees down, poles snapped, and debris filling streets. Among the victims were a three year old boy and residents including Homer Glenn, whose longtime home area suffered severe damage. Emergency crews battled fires while authorities assessed the massive property toll and continued search efforts.

Samuel McRoberts a 17 year old nephew and namesake of Samuel McRoberts vice president of the National City Bank of New York was found dead in the Arkansas River near Muskogee Oklahoma. He was alone in a boat when a shot was heard and the body found with a blood stained boat nearby investigators believe the rifle discharged after snagging on the seat.

Daisy Holmes, 34, skull fracture, fractures to ankle, elbow, pelvis, to General Hospital. Henry K. Gibson, 2873 Linwood, badly burned arms and face. Stanley Schlotttman, bruised. Robert Schlotttman, bruises.
Washington March 11 More than 10 million men are recorded as killed wounded or missing in the European war in the first complete tabulation of belligerent reports received here. The Entente total is 6 318 400 with Russia suffering the heaviest losses.
Representative Cyrus Adams Sulloway, 78, veteran NH congressman, died in Washington of pneumonia after a brief illness. His passing reduces the Republican tally to 214, tying with Democrats. a special election in New Hampshire is expected to be called to fill the vacancy.
