Dowie founder of Zion City dies at Shiloh House
John Alexander Dowie founder of Zion City died at 7 40 this morning at Shiloh House Zion City Chicago. Present were Judge D N Barnes and two attendants. Dowie aged 97 born in Edinburgh May 25 1847 had preached in Shiloh House Sundays. He built Zion City and a large healing work in Chicago. His death ends a dramatic religious career with plans for a second Zion City in Mexico.
