Police Officer Killed in Crowded Street Shootout
Police Inspector Thomas F. Norton was killed and Lawrence Robinson wounded in a running gun battle after Norton attempted to arrest him. The clash began in a restaurant and sprawled into the busy street as two inspectors and Robinson’s companion Joseph Daniels joined the firing. Body of unidentified woman pulled from Mohawk River
