Court Overrules Demurrer in Brewery Labour Case
Judge Hollister ruled yesterday to overrule the demurrer by the International Unions of Steam Engineers and Stationery Firemen in the injunction suit brought by allied brewery interests. Rulison and Gevitz filed the demurrer, which was dismissed by consent of all parties. The ruling leaves the injunction in force against the unions, restricting them from ordering engineers to cut steam in breweries and ending the brewery workers strike and jurisdiction dispute.
